Nick Hogan has been injured badly in a car accident. According to his Wikipedia page, it was not during a session of drifting, which he took part in in an episode of Hogan Knows Best. The linked news story states "Preliminary investigation indicates the car was traveling at a high rate of speed" and hit a palm tree.

I guess the update is that if they find Nick was speeding or under the influence of alcohol and his friend passes, he could be going up the river for as long as 15 years, or in wresting terms, 7.5 Hulk Hogan comebacks...
